You are warmly invited to join the annual statewide interfaith climate convening on Sunday, October 26th 1PM-6PM.
–
The Annual Convening (formerly Conference) has been a core offering of Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light (PA IPL) for many years. It serves as a way to connect passionate individuals across the state, strengthen multifaith community, and build momentum to address climate change as a moral issue here in the Keystone State. This year, we are again presenting a fully virtual event!
As we work to build new worlds, we need our imaginations more than ever. Building on our theme of community care from our Bike and Hike in May, this year’s theme for our Annual Convening is Love Your Neighbor, Love Your World. Together we will explore how love guides our actions in relationship to our neighbors and our world. What does it mean to steward love in times of despair and injustice? How do we ground our labor for environmental justice in revolutionary love?
We will get started with an opening fireside chat with Valarie Kaur. After that, there will be a short welcome and orientation session led by the PA IPL team. We will then split into two tracks of afternoon workshops. Yes, you will have to choose, but don’t worry! These sessions will be recorded and available later to all registrants. During breaks in programming, you will be given opportunities to visit with our sponsors and partners to learn more about their incredible work. We will reconvene for a closing fireside conversation reflecting on 10 years of Laudato Si.
