Remembering the Sixth Anniversary of Oak Creek
SIX YEARS AGO TODAY, a white supremacist opened fire in a Sikh gurdwara in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, killing six people and wounding many more. It was one of the largest mass shootings on a faith community in U.S. history yet largely forgotten by the public. Sharat Raju and I spent months on the ground, chronicling how the Sikh community responded to hate and violence with courage and love.
Their story is a beacon for today, a story of #RevolutionaryLove. Please WATCH & SHARE our 9 min short film below.
